​THE HARE & HOUNDS

We are a family run pub and restaurant with over 30 years experience in hostelry. Located on the A64 in to Scarborough, Staxton is a small village with beautiful scenery.

 

The building itself is a 16th Century coaching house with many original features still in place such as our open fires and beam-work that run throughout the building. Upon the approach to Staxton, the building is a very imposing piece of architecture, its white washed façade drawing the eye to its presence.

 

With a newly refurbished patio section outside the front of the building, our location draws in the rays of summer leading to a pleasant area to drink and dine al fresco if so desired.

 

Inside the Hare & Hounds, we have two area's for dining – our restaurant section for more formal dining and our bar area for quick snacks and a more relaxed atmosphere. Our menu is available for you to peruse.

 

As an accredited member of CAMRA and SIBRA - we take pride in our ales and they are of the highest quality. Please see our drinks page for more information.
